Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Quality Assurance Testing Analyst IV for a fully remote contract role. The position supports end-to-end manual testing of the TRIPS Exception Manager during a system transition, ensuring data integrity in source-to-target migration and GL reconciliation.

The role requires strong QA experience, ability to develop and execute test cases, basic SQL skills, and meticulous documentation. Availability during Central Time business hours is expected.

• Experience developing and executing test cases.
• Ability to gather testing requirements from business users and SMEs.
• Experience with data validation, source-to-target testing, or system migration testing.
• Basic to intermediate SQL querying skills.
• Ability to compare JSON files, text files, and system data.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end manual testing of the TRIPS Exception Manager application.
• Collaborate with the TRIPS SME and business users to define testing needs.
• Create, update, and execute test cases and workflows.
• Identify missing test coverage and develop additional test scenarios.
• Validate data flow between legacy and replacement systems.
• Compare source and target data using JSON, text files, system screens, and database records.
• Perform basic SQL queries and data lookups.
• Validate bank deposit transactions and related general ledger entries.
• Ensure financial totals reconcile between systems.
• Create workflow diagrams and testing documentation.
• Document defects, discrepancies, test results, and transition impacts.
• Use qTest to manage and track test cases.
