Job summary

PingWind, Inc. is seeking a QA / Test Automation Engineer to support automated testing for a federal IAM program within the U.S. Department of Education’s FSA office.

The role focuses on test automation frameworks, agile testing, and security testing of enterprise IAM solutions. In this remote role, you will collaborate with developers, product owners, and security teams to design test strategies, execute tests across development, test, and production environments, and ensure non-functional

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for IAM systems.
• Execute unit, regression, and integration testing to verify acceptance criteria.
• Perform code reviews to ensure test quality and best practices.
• Validate non-functional requirements including performance, security, and compliance.
• Ensure acceptance criteria are met before deployment.
• Support functional and security testing of IAM applications and services.
• Develop test plans for deployments across environments.
• Collaborate with product owners to understand testing needs.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement to estimate testing effort.
• Verify all automated/manual tests pass before release.
• Ensure security/compliance testing is completed.
• Document test results and coverage metrics; report to teams.
• Assist in migrating applications into the IAM platform by testing authentication/authorization/audit.

Responsibilities

• Perform code reviews with developers to ensure testing quality.
• Validate non-functional requirements including performance, security, scalability, and compliance.
• Ensure acceptance criteria are satisfied for user stories prior to deployment.
• Collaborate with FSA Product Owners to understand testing requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement for testing needs.
• Maintain test automation code and data in version control to ensure reproducibility.
