Job summary

FinteqHub is seeking a QA Tech Lead to define testing strategy and migrate API tests from Java to Go and Gonkey. You will guide multiple engineering teams in building robust test pyramids and AI-assisted testing practices across our stack (Go, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes).

Based in our Payments Integrations team, you will own regression, coordinate across teams, mentor engineers, and expand UI test automation as a next phase. Strong English and Russian language skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Senior or Lead-level experience in test automation with a focus on API testing.
• Built a test strategy and pyramid from scratch for multiple products.
• Proven track record changing testing practices across teams.
• Strong test design, deriving coverage from requirements and specs.
• Understand the product as a whole and balance unit vs. e2e testing.
• Mentor engineers and QA staff, with experience across languages.

Responsibilities

• Audit legacy Java API test suite and decide what to keep or retire.
• Oversee AI-assisted migration of tests to Go and Gonkey without losing checks.
• Close coverage gaps per test pyramid, focusing on high-risk scenarios.
• Help teams define and document their test strategy and pyramid.
• Advise leads on testing decisions considering risk and cost.
• Own regression runs and ensure flaky tests are addressed with clear ownership.
