Job summary

Accounting Search client seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality management system and laboratory quality across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites.

The role supervises a Quality Coordinator and provides functional leadership to site laboratory teams, combining quality systems ownership, analytical testing oversight, and continuous improvement. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years QA/QC experience, 2+ years of lab leadership, and ISO 9001 auditing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing or chemicals.
• 2+ years in laboratory leadership.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and statistical process control.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 Quality Management System including document control, procedures, and audit readiness.
• Lead third party registration and customer audits.
• Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
• Oversee physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure analytical methods are validated and laboratory instruments are calibrated and maintained.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance metrics.
