Colonist is seeking a QA Engineer to own product quality for a multi-platform game experience. You will ship fixes, validate across web, mobile, and Discord, and drive end-to-end improvement in an asynchronous, remote team.

You’ll test PRs, monitor player reports, and translate findings into actionable tickets while ensuring high quality before releases. The role emphasizes proactive QA, fast feedback, and collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with full-cycle QA: test planning, execution, reporting, and follow-through.
• Strong attention to detail and good judgment to identify bugs vs product issues.
• Comfortable editing in codebase and submitting small fixes via PRs.
• Experience testing web, mobile, and Discord platforms.
• Able to communicate async clearly and structure bug reports.

Aufgaben

• Fix quality issues directly in the codebase.
• Drive end-to-end fixes for major issues.
• Run weekly QA sessions on dev and staging builds on a fixed release cycle, with post-release checks.
• Test PRs in fast pace: happy path, edge cases, cross-platform; approve or request changes with reasoning.
• Monitor Discord bug channels, validate player reports, turn into structured tickets.
• Identify non-bug issues like bad UX and illogical behavior and address them.
• Ensure changes are tested across web, mobile, and Discord.
• Proactively find gaps in QA process and propose improvements.
