Job summary

Aptonet in Hartford, CT seeks an experienced Application Test Analyst to support the Connecticut CIS and CJIS systems. The role focuses on system testing, UAT, requirements validation, defect management, and test automation as part of a large, integrated environment.

You will create test cases, execute tests, document results, and work with developers and stakeholders to trace defects to their source. Familiarity with NIEM XML, SOAP/REST services, and DevOps tooling is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology or related field.
• Experience testing in IT projects including end-to-end test cycles.
• Proficiency with NIEM XML or similar complex XML structures.
• Knowledge of SOAP/REST web services and automation tooling.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement detailed test use cases and scenarios.
• Execute system and application tests; perform UAT and defect management.
• Validate requirements and maintain traceability matrices against contracts.
• Document test results and generate comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify root causes of defects and support CJIS releases.
