Job summary

Turing is seeking a high-quality engineer to work remotely as an independent contractor. You will design, refine, and iterate rubrics and evaluation criteria for preference data, and you will review and label data to a high standard.

You’ll build and maintain pipelines and infrastructure supporting data generation, collection, and evaluation workflows, and you’ll translate findings into clear write-ups or recommendations for the team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript for building pipelines and infra.
• Hands-on experience with preference data collection and rubric creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex work into summaries.
• Demonstrated high-taste judgment—explain why something is good, not just that it is.

Responsibilities

• Design, refine, and iterate rubrics and evaluation criteria for preference data.
• Review and label data with a high bar for quality.
• Build and maintain pipelines and infra that support data generation, collection, and evaluation workflows.
• Synthesize findings into clear write-ups, updates, or recommendations.
