Job summary

Thefirmconsult is seeking a Python Developer / Software Engineer to join our international, fully remote team. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs, write clean code, and collaborate with a distributed group to deliver reliable software.

The role requires 2+ years of professional Python experience, strong problem-solving, and ability to work independently in a remote setting across time zones. Applicants should be comfortable with REST, databases, and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience developing backend applications, APIs, or web applications.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace.
• Must be located outside the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Python.
