Job summary

Emerging Travel Group is seeking a Python Developer to join a team building an internal analytics platform and AI solutions for analysts and data engineers. You will work on backend services, analytics tools, and gradually contribute to AI agents while collaborating on frontend features with React.

The role emphasizes building scalable backend services, integrating LLMs, and working with databases and APIs. Remote-friendly with flexible scheduling for the US-based team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial Python backend experience.
• Experience with React or willingness to learn quickly.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, and integrations between systems.
• Knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of application architecture, design principles, and common development patterns.
• Interest in LLMs and AI agents, willingness to use them in solutions.
• Active use of AI tools in development and ability to critically evaluate results.
• Ability to work independently and learn existing codebases and new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Python backend services for the internal analytics platform.
• Build features for analytics tools, admin interfaces, and services for data engineers.
• Integrate LLMs with databases, APIs, and analytics interfaces.
• Participate in developing AI agents for data analysis, Text2SQL, and task automation.
• Work on frontend features using React.
• Design APIs and integrations, contribute to architecture decisions, and select technical solutions.
• Adapt open-source solutions, write tests, and participate in code reviews.
