Job summary

University of British Columbia (UBC) is seeking a Project Manager for Pharmacovigilance to lead PV project teams, ensuring milestones are met and contracted scope is delivered. This remote, fixed-term 6-month position requires PM experience in CRO/pharma settings, PV knowledge, and strong client communication.

The role manages timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration, with travel to client sites as needed and oversight of project metrics and CAPAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years PM experience at a CRO or pharma company and/or 4 years PV experience.
• Knowledge of global and local PV regulations preferred.
• Strong PM, interpersonal and written skills for client-facing work.
• Ability to track and resolve multiple project actions.
• Experience with safety databases (Argus or similar).
• Project financial oversight including invoicing and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Lead PV project teams to deliver contracted services on time and on budget.
• Serve as primary client contact and ensure clear communication within teams.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and governance documents.
• Coordinate internal and client teleconferences and meetings.
• Prepare KPIs and monthly metrics reports for management.
• Support CAPAs, SIRs, and audit/inspection readiness.
