Job summary

County of El Dorado is seeking a Health Program Specialist to support Public Health initiatives within the Health and Human Services Agency. You will help develop, coordinate, and deliver programs that promote health education, prevention, and access to services across the County.

Qualifications

• Education: Equivalent to two years of college coursework in sociology, psychology, social services, public administration or a related field
• Experience: Two years of paid or unpaid community education or outreach activities, or four years of increasingly responsible support to a public health program

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for many public health services.
• Organize and conduct public meetings with service providers and community agencies.
• Assist in development of program policies; provide information to participants.
• Schedule, coordinate and facilitate educational training programs.
• Prepare program plans and evaluations; conduct in-service training and workshops.
