Job summary

The CDC Foundation seeks a Communications Program Manager to support the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Office of Healthcare Strategy and Planning. This remote role coordinates internal and external communications about Office programs, data, and successes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health or related field required.
• 5–7 years of project management experience.
• Understanding of public health and healthcare delivery system.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with project management, cultural awareness, health equity, problem solving and innovation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and resource management.
• Proficiency in Constant Contact and Adobe Express is a plus.
• Strong judgment, organization, and attention to detail; ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, report on, and ensure stability of project-oriented work efforts.
• Collaborate with DPH Communications Office and Commissioner’s Office to build OHSP online presence.
• Represent OHSP and HWC at events, conferences, and professional associations.
• Develop and maintain OHSP distribution lists by topic area and project.
• Establish and implement PM processes to deliver projects on time and within budget with high quality.
• Assemble project plans, assign tasks, monitor progress, identify resource needs, and escalate issues.
• Track milestones and adjust plans/resources to meet stakeholder needs.
• Coordinate communications across enterprise areas affecting scope, budget, risk, and resources.
• Manage one or more cross-functional projects of varying complexity.
• Maintain collegial relationships with colleagues and partners.
• Clearly communicate policies to non-technical audiences.
