Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of administrative or professional experience, including three years at a supervisory or managerial level.
• Master's degree will substitute for one year of general experience; Doctorate will substitute for two years of general experience; additional experience substitutes on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversees administration-wide public awareness initiatives, special projects, stakeholder engagement, and communications functions.
• Conducts environmental scanning, policy analysis, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement to identify issues affecting behavioral health and public awareness.
• Establishes policies and procedures supporting initiatives and operational priorities with short- and long-term goals.
• Serves as liaison between BHA leadership and internal/external stakeholders (State agencies, local governments, providers, advocacy groups, communities, elected officials).
• Oversees personnel, contracts, projects, and financial resources for special initiatives and public campaigns; analyzes practices for messaging dissemination.
• Hires and supervises staff and develops an effective organizational structure to meet workload demands.
