Job summary

Executive Mental Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing California-based team. The NP will work to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a focus on psychopharmacology and therapy, collaborating with psychiatrists to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care.

The role supports SNF patients and community-based care across California, with a mix of in-person and remote services.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Must hold California NP license and Medicare billing privileges per state rules.
• PMHNP certification (PMHNP-BC) or equivalent recognized certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments including medical and psychosocial history.
• Record symptoms and physically examine patients.
• Make diagnoses and develop treatment plans including medications.
• Educate patients on healthy habits and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and monitor progress.
• Follow up to assess treatment effectiveness.
• Provide psychosocial and psychopharmacology knowledge to support care.
