Remote Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Maine

Thriveworks is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Maine.

In an effort to maintain safety and best practices for our clinicians and patients via telemedicine, Thriveworks does not push or incentivize the use of stimulant medications; instead, we offer them as an option based on the client’s specific symptoms and diagnosis, with prescribing decisions left to the discretion of the clinician. We do not currently treat substance use disorders, and make every effort to refer out to an in-person provider when symptoms are too severe for telemedicine only.

Thriveworks Nurse Practitioners provide care to a diverse population with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more, primarily serving adults and adolescents, with plans to expand care across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certification required
• Masters in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required
• Understanding of EMR systems like AdvancedMD (AMD) is a plus
• Three years of experience is a plus
• Must be licensed and residing in Maine
• All clinicians must complete in-house training on ADHD treatment standards and pass a certification exam. All new hires are enrolled in the ADHD Clinic to treat ADHD clients, with no quotas for clients or prescriptions.

Compensation

• Fee for Service position, annual range $130,000-$187,000 based on 25-35 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations via telemedicine
• Prescribe medication as needed to reduce symptoms
• Develop and collaborate on care plans with clients
• Complete necessary paperwork and assessments
• Follow Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
• Consult with Regional Directors and staff regarding clients and services
