Job summary

TruStage is seeking a mid-level actuarial professional to support pricing of Pension Risk Transfer opportunities. You will code pricing models for initial valuations and recalculations, and enhance related processes while performing complex benefit calculations such as QDROs and late retirements.

You’ll interact with multiple functions, maintain model quality, and pursue actuarial accreditation as appropriate. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics or related field or equivalent experience.
• Four+ years actuarial experience with ASA/ACAS level or Pension experience preferred.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborates with other functional areas as needed.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and self-validation skills.
• Strong organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Works independently or as part of a team.
• Builds collaborative relationships to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Code and execute proprietary PRT pricing model for initial premium valuations.
• Code and execute PRT pricing model for premium recalculations.
• Maintain and improve the PRT pricing model and related processes.
• Execute complex participant benefit calculations including QDROs, death benefits and late retirements.
• Review standard calculations and draft/review PRT contract language.
• Support the growing PRT product through special projects.
• Pursue actuarial accreditation where applicable.
• Maintain standing in the actuarial student program.
• Other duties may be assigned.
