Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a remote Provider Advocate in Indiana. You’ll be the primary contact for healthcare providers, resolving issues on calls and chats while navigating multiple systems. The role emphasizes first-call resolution, strong communication, and promoting self-service tools.

This full-time position requires 40 hours/week with shifts during CST/EST business hours. Training lasts 11 weeks, conducted virtually from home, with 100% attendance expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience navigating computer systems and Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the advocate for providers by demonstrating accountability and ownership to resolve issues.
• Service Providers in a multi-channel environment including call, dual chats, and email as required.
• Triage contacts from healthcare professionals (e.g. physician offices, clinics, billing offices).
• Understand needs of the provider, answer questions and resolve issues (benefits, eligibility, billing, authorizations, EOB).
• Research complex prior authorization and claim issues and resolve to avoid repeats.
• Collaborate with internal partners and communicate resolutions in a timely manner.
• Navigate more than 30 systems to extract information and resolve issues across lines of business.
