Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Shelton, CT is seeking a Protection Engineer - Distribution to drive strategic plans for Beckwith Protection products. You will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Production to meet targets and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional activities, supporting OEMs with product approvals, developing proof of concept solutions, and contributing to product specifications and documentation for strategic accounts.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Electric Utility experience.
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of the power industry.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850, IEC 60870-103, -101, -104, DNP3, Modbus, PRP, IEEE 1588.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist OEMs and strategic customers with product approvals and technical support.
• Develop proof of concept solutions for new applications with strategic accounts.
• Review specifications for new accounts to ensure proper Beckwith product application.
• Maintain the Beckwith Smart Grid Lab and ensure it is functional.
• Contribute to product specifications and documentation for customers.
• Support customer issues and ensure timely resolutions.
