b19 Consulting is partnered with a growing West Coast engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Protection & Controls Engineer with a strong electrical utility and substation background. This role offers the opportunity to work on HV substation projects for Renewable Developers / EPCs and Utilities, while joining a collaborative and technically focused team.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of P&C experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of renewable energy/utility substation P&C engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Experience designing protection and control systems for HV substations.
• Strong understanding of substation protection, control, and electrical systems.
• Experience developing and reviewing P&C drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control documentation.
• Ability to coordinate P&C designs with other substation engineering disciplines.
• Experience interpreting vendor information and incorporating it into engineering deliverables.
• Strong communication skills with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and EITs.
