Job summary

Veo, a leading shared micromobility provider, is seeking a Proposal Writer based in the Washington, DC area. You will manage all aspects of proposal writing for city and university RFPs, crafting persuasive narratives from senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

This remote role offers the chance to shape Veo's market entry priorities, collaborate with Policy, Product, Finance, and Operations, and deliver high-quality submissions on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in proposal development, permit or grant writing, content creation, editing, or related fields such as sales/marketing, journalism, or report/technical writing.
• Exceptional writing, editing, verbal communication, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for diverse audiences, including public agencies, universities, and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement or urban planning is an advantage but not required.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred and may substitute for 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and submittal of proposals for RFP and permit applications.
• Write high-quality, creative, and responsive content for proposals.
• Coordinate and review/edit proposal input from stakeholders across Veo’s departments.
• Track proposal success rates and implement continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with Design to produce visuals and graphics that improve communication.
• Analyze trends and policies to tailor Veo’s product offering to priority markets.
