Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in Dubuque, IA. You will handle accident and weather-related claims for residential and commercial properties, meeting policyholders in the field and via remote work when needed.

You will assess damages, explain coverage, gather evidence, and document findings, while collaborating with policyholders, agents, and other parties to resolve claims with care and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact with policyholders, agents, and stakeholders to move claims forward.

• Proficiency with mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims.
• Must have physical agility for walking, climbing, lifting and working on structures.
• May require Rope and Harness Safety Training.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and others to gather information and resolve claims.
• Interact with concerned parties and manage emotions during inspections.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare reports to support claims.
• Investigate and adjust property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits considering policy provisions.
