Job summary

Erie Insurance is seeking a remote, work-from-home Claims Adjuster position in Ohio. The successful candidate will handle property claims, conduct investigations, interview involved parties, and inspect damages within the assigned territory. A company car and home office setup will be provided.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED (or Bachelor’s) and several years of claims handling experience. Travel to Catastrophe Team locations may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED and five years of claims handling experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree and two years of claims handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts investigations, interviews, and inspects damage; drives to site of damage within assigned territory.
• Prepares estimates, determines coverage and claim value, negotiates with plaintiff attorneys when necessary.
• Documents claim files and submits reports for closure; maintains reserves and reviews related materials.
