Job summary

Erie Insurance Group is seeking a remote Property Claims Adjuster to handle a variety of property damage cases from home. You will investigate, estimate, and determine coverage while coordinating with teams and clients across states.

Ideal candidates bring five years of claims handling or a Bachelor’s degree with two years, and are willing to obtain required licenses. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package, bonus potential, and a company car for field duties when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus five years of claims handling experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree plus two years of claims handling experience.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain any required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspections of damage.
• Prepares estimates, determines coverage, and handles related questions.
• Sets and maintains reserves, reviews reports, and negotiates with attorneys.
• Documents claim files and submits reports for closure.
• Recognizes subrogation opportunities and takes appropriate action.
• Assists claims supervisor or acts on their behalf as required.

Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred
