Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2 years claims handling experience, or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Willingness to pursue Technical Learning Center Training.

Responsibilities

• Contact policyholders regarding property claims within authority.
• Investigate, interview insureds and witnesses, inspect damage and prepare estimates.
• Evaluate coverage and determine payments; issue checks.
• Document claim files and submit final reports for closure.
• Identify subrogation situations and initiate appropriate action.
• Serve assigned territory and bring claims to conclusion.
• Coordinate with agents and district sales managers on mutual matters.
• May handle litigated claims and negotiate with defense attorneys.
