Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services Inc. is seeking a Property Claim Technical Field Adjuster to respond to customer needs across multiple locations. The role involves investigating, evaluating, and estimating damages for business insurance claims, with a focus on mid to high complexity claims.

Responsibilities include on-site inspections, use of Xactimate for settlements, applying policy coverages, and maintaining reserves. The position supports a remote/hybrid work arrangement across several states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience handling commercial field property claims with elements of complexity/severity.
• Proficient knowledge of property estimating software and ability to independently prepare damage estimates in excess of $100,000.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial property claims of mid to high complexity under minimal supervision.
• Inspect, document, and estimate damages to businesses after a loss (water, fire, vehicle impact, etc.).
• Use Xactimate to determine settlements and validate third party estimates/invoices.
• Interpret policy forms to establish coverages and limitations that apply to the loss.
• Establish accurate indemnity and expense reserves and manage claim-related expenses.
• Communicate with agents, insureds, claimants, and company personnel; discuss coverage issues with supervisor.
• Refer claims to Special Investigations, Subrogation, and/or Complex Claim Units as needed.
• Adhere to statutory and regulatory fair claims practices.
• Perform other duties as required.
