Job summary

Dietz Property Group seeks a Director of Property Accounting to lead the accounting team across a portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent.
• CPA and/or CMA certification preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in multifamily residential or real estate property management.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for a portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties.
• Review, analyze and approve property-level financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate and assist in the preparation and review of annual CAM reconciliations.
• Lead the property accounting team, mentoring staff and ensuring high-quality performance.
• Develop annual operating budgets, forecasts, and periodic reforecasts with financial insight.
• Maintain cash management processes and banking relationships; manage year-end audits and tax coordination.
