Job summary

Roofstock is hiring a Property Accountant - Retail to deliver full-cycle accounting for the property management team across multiple regions. You will generate monthly GAAP reports, perform close activities, reconciliations, and distributions to clients, while ensuring accuracy of ledgers and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3+ years in real estate accounting, proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide daily accounting functions for multiple regions
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports (GAAP)
• Prepare monthly close, reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
• Process weekly & monthly distributions to clients
• Review general ledgers and balance sheets for accuracy
• Support managers with ad hoc projects and audits
• Monitor cash postings and tenant billings; perform ledger reconciliations
• Coordinate with departments to ensure accurate financial packages
