Job summary

MasteryPrep LLC in the United States is seeking a diligent Proofreader to rewrite content for student success. This part-time 1099 contract role offers remote work for candidates based in the USA and pay at $25 per hour.

You will review lesson material across print materials, slide decks, online lessons and practice tests for grammar, clarity and alignment to style guides, reporting issues via a ticketing system and maintaining consistency of voice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years proofreading or editing experience.
• Strong English grammar and communication skills.
• Experience reviewing ELA, STEM, and Social Sciences content.
• Able to learn new technology and enforce style guides.
• Ability to meet deadlines and turnaround work within 24 hours.
• Familiar with Slack, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat DC.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate lesson content for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and style.
• Report issues through a ticketing system per guidelines.
• Maintain consistency of style across all produced content.
• Coordinate with the MasteryPrep team on deadlines and progress.
