Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Houston is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to lead transformer service projects from planning through completion, coordinating scope, schedules, resources, and budgets.

You will manage cross-functional teams, maintain customer communications, mitigate risks, track KPIs, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements; travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Five years of project management experience focused on transformer services or heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transformer service projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop project plans with scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and third-party contractors.
• Serve as primary customer contact and manage expectations throughout execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans.
• Monitor progress, track KPIs, and report to management.
• Manage budgets, approve expenditures, and support cost-effective delivery.
• Support post-project reviews and continuous improvement of PM processes and tools.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
