Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is seeking a Project Manager for Special Projects and Innovation to oversee SPI initiatives from concept to lab prototype and field pilot. You will coordinate data pipelines, AI-enabled monitoring, IoT networks, and full-stack solutions with technical leads, vendors, and project resources across the U.S.

Responsibilities include managing budgets and schedules, documenting progress, and guiding teams to on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, construction management, or related discipline.
• 5+ years managing technical projects or programs (software, controls, or IoT).
• Experience with Smartsheet, Azure DevOps or Jira for project tracking.
• Experience coordinating vendors and stakeholders.
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate across dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple SPI initiatives from concept to delivery, coordinating leads, vendors, and resources.
• Maintain program-level reports and documentation; prepare summaries for updates.
• Travel to job sites for demonstrations and field pilots as needed.
• Close out projects with handoff to owners and conduct postmortems.
• Leverage AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and workflows.
• Ensure completion of tasks on time and within budget.
