Job summary

DeJong Operations Management and Consulting LLC is seeking a Project Manager to drive successful project execution in food, pharma, and biotech facilities. You’ll partner with the Director of Operations and engineering teams to design and implement cutting‑edge process systems while coordinating clients and vendors.

The role is hands-on, requires leadership and adaptability, and involves significant travel (50-75%). A strong background in sanitary environments and GMP awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical projects in industrial, sanitary environments.
• Strong understanding of processing systems, equipment, and construction practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with a high level of organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams from kickoff to final delivery.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Conduct job site visits and lead project meetings, both virtually and onsite.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and equipment.
• Interpret P&IDs, mechanical and architectural drawings, and site data.
• Estimate project costs during pre-sale and manage through execution.
• Ensure GMPs, safety protocols, and quality expectations are met.
• Mentor and guide project engineers, technicians, and welders.
• Work remote, in office (Edgar, WI), and travel 50-75%, mostly in the Midwest.
