Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Project Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial operations across behavioral healthcare facilities on a remote-based, project-by-project basis. The role requires extensive travel and the ability to operate with flexibility between on-site and home-based assignments across the nationwide network of Acadia’s facilities.

The ideal candidate will have prior CFO experience in behavioral health, strong financial leadership, and expertise in revenue cycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business-related field; CPA or Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 3 years CFO experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.
• Experience with a proprietary healthcare system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately.
• Manages the balance sheet reconciliations and address variances promptly.
• Prepares corporate reports (MOR, monthly certifications, forecasts) timely.
• Oversees internal controls and revenue cycle to optimize cash collections.
• Leads departments including Accounting, Patient Accounting, HIM, Materials, HR.
