Job summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a Medical Coder responsible for abstracting professional fee diagnosis and procedural codes from physician documentation in accordance with CMS guidelines. You will collaborate with compliance, clinical departments, physicians and the Revenue Cycle team, and may handle account problems in EPIC.

The role is 100% remote for Washington state residents. Candidates should have a credentialed Professional Fee Coding course completion and at least two years of medical

Qualifications

• Completion of credentialed Professional Fee Coding Course.
• Minimum of two years experience in medical coding or coding related experience.
• CPC-A, CPC, CCS-P certification or AHIMA CCS-P required.
• Pediatric setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abstract professional fee diagnosis and/or procedural codes from physician documentation per practice plan and CMS/HCFA guidelines.
• Collaborate with compliance, clinical departments, physicians and Revenue Cycle team members.
• Work in EPIC and resolve routine account problems as assigned.
