The ideal candidate holds active AAPC or AHIMA certification, 3+ years of ProFee coding, and strong knowledge of NCCI edits and payer guidelines. Excellent communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years ProFee coding experience.
• Active coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA.
• Recent hands-on Professional Fee coding in Surgical Trauma, Plastic Surgery, or Orthopedic Hand Surgery.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, NCCI edits, and payer-specific guidelines.
• Experience reviewing operative reports and coding for professional fee reimbursement.
• Ability to interpret complex surgical documentation and apply correct coding and modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Review operative reports and assign accurate CPT/ICD-10-CM and E/M codes.
• Code professional fees for Surgical Trauma, Plastic Surgery, and Orthopedic Hand Surgery.
• Ensure documentation compliance and proper modifier usage.
• Maintain high productivity and quality in a fully remote environment.
• Communicate effectively with providers and billing teams.
