Job summary

Counterpart, a distributed insurtech, seeks a Production Focused Risk Engineer to drive underwriting performance and pricing for management and professional liability lines. You will collaborate with risk, engineering, data, and operations to leverage broker relationships and AI tools to underwrite and quote efficiently.

You will partner with wholesale brokers, provide guidance, and help shape product terms while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

3–7 years of underwriting experience in the respective product.
A network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the professional liability insurance space.
Expertise in various aspects of specialty liability products (e.g. rating procedures, policy forms, applications and coverage endorsements).
Ability to successfully engage with brokers to establish long-term, profitable partnerships with brokerages.

Responsibilities

Achieve and exceed underwriting performance and revenue goals using AI assisted risk scoring and triage.
Price accounts quickly with AI driven rating and pricing recommendations.
Provide quick, competitive quote communication using AI drafting tools.
Collaborate with underwriting team to understand exposures of complex accounts.
Serve as trusted partner to wholesale brokers with underwriting guidance and responsive communication.
