AST is seeking a strategic Product Manager to join our Research and Development team. In this cross-functional role, you will help define and execute our vision for innovative products, services, and customer experiences. This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Tacoma, Washington headquarters.

Market Intelligence: Identify high-value product opportunities that align with customer needs and AST’s Mission, Vision, and Purpose.

• ~ Program Management: Direct complex development programs, maintaining full accountability for budget adherence and milestone scheduling.
• ~ Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Execution and R&D teams to initiate, prioritize, and manage the product development lifecycle
• ~ Partner with Marketing, BD, and Engineering to launch products through integrated campaigns, internal training, and technical literature.
• ~Commercial Support: Coordinate with Quality and Engineering on change controls, product revisions, and technical updates.
• ~ Drive value engineering initiatives with Supply Chain and Engineering to optimize product cost structures and feature sets.
• ~ Manage and maintain rigorous product specifications throughout the entire project execution cycle.
• ~Cultivate deep customer relationships to anticipate evolving needs; Available for 15% or more domestic and international travel.
• ~ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• ~ Industry Expertise: 5+ years in Product Management, ideally including 2+ years in the pharmaceutical sector with a solid grasp of industry-specific regulatory requirements.
• ~ Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, exposure to 3D modeling, CFD, or animation software is highly desirable.
• ~Financial Acumen: A proven track record in strategic financial planning and budget management.
• ~ Communication: Exceptional technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• ~ Professionalism: Demonstrated history of sound commercial judgment, high integrity, and a proactive, thorough approach to project ownership.
