Job summary

Recruiting from Scratch LLC is hiring a Product Engineer for a fully remote role in the U.S. You’ll join a small engineering team building backend systems and data pipelines powering claims processing and provider payments for an early-stage healthcare startup.

In this role, you’ll own data ingestion, transformation, and production code, collaborating with Operations and other engineers to scale the platform while delivering secure, reliable software across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python experience with production code refactoring.
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines or backend systems at scale.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort in ambiguous startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale data pipelines and backend systems for claims, payments, and operations.
• Develop automations for provider notifications and patient support workflows.
• Own data flows across ingestion, transformation, validation, and persistence.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and business stakeholders to reduce manual overhead.
• Prototype and refactor solutions into clean, production-grade code.
