Whalar Group is hiring a Product Designer to own a set of existing product surfaces end to end: understand usage, sharpen features, and ship improvements at a steady cadence, working directly with product and engineering. This is a full-time remote role.

You’ll join a small design team and operate inside a shared design system, reusing patterns and proposing new ones where they earn their place. Strong craft, prototyping, and comfort with ambiguity are a must, and you’ll collaborate across US

Qualifications

• A portfolio that shows range across multiple industries or products.
• Startup-native mindset with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong craft in components, variants, responsive layouts, and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Own the experience of established product lines: diagnose, redesign, iterate, and ship.
• Take a brief that's more conversation than document and return with a better solution.
• Design across sparse data, dense data, mobile, desktop, and embedded states with intention.
• Build interactive prototypes that engineers can feel, not just read.
• Work inside a shared design system, reusing patterns and proposing new ones when warranted.
• Run lightweight user sessions on your prototypes and fold learnings back in.
