Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Product Configuration Engineer to join our renewable energy team. You will translate customer hardware requirements into accurate SKUs and manufacturing BOMs, with PLM implementation experience across the business.

This role is fully remote, with cross-functional collaboration to ensure manufacturability and reliable configurations. You will create SKUs in NetSuite, manage BOMs, and lead PLM supplier and system selections in partnership with engineering, manufacturing,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
5–7 years in product configuration, BOM management, or PLM in hardware/manufacturing.
Experience turning customer requirements into SKUs and configurations.
Proficiency with NetSuite and PLM/ERP/PDM tools.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain SKUs, assembly structures, and configurations in NetSuite.
Translate customer specs into equipment selections and configuration packs.
Develop and maintain BOM information with engineering and manufacturing.
Lead the evaluation and implementation of a PLM system.
Standardize part numbering and configuration documentation.
Collaborate with customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing to enable handoff.
