Job summary

C-P Systems is seeking a highly skilled Process Piping Designer to join our remote team. You will design, detail, and coordinate piping systems and equipment installations for industrial clients, from concept through completion.

Independence, accuracy, and strong communication are essential. You will work with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and related tools, collaborate across departments, and help produce complete mechanical bid packages for construction while maintaining high standards and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant design experience.
• Experience with piping design and plant layout in an industrial plant setting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Project management capabilities.
• US Citizenship (required by some of our customers)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and engineers to understand project requirements.
• Visit customer facilities with our local engineer to assist customers in scoping potential projects or gather site information to benefit project progression.
• Create, develop, and refine process piping designs for various systems.
• Create detailed drawings, piping isometrics, and specifications to guide construction and installation activities.
• Conduct field visits to measure and record specifications of existing piping systems and equipment, including laser scanning.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards.
• Provide positive working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Generate P&IDs and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
• 3D modeling of process equipment, instrumentation, and piping.
• Direct involvement with customers for design reviews (typically in Navisworks).
• Work with engineering team to help model processes with the end deliverable being a complete mechanical bid package for construction.
