Qualifications

Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Remote Process Operations Technician in Casco, WI or Fair Oaks, IN!

Sedron is a leading provider of circular waste management technologies for agricultural manure and municipal biosolids processing, deploying facilities across several North American regions. Since its founding in 2014, Sedron has pioneered innovative solutions, including the patented Varcor® system, to transform waste into clean water, organic fertilizer, and carbon-negative commodities. With strong engineering expertise, Sedron’s processes reduce nutrient pollution, lower operational expenses, and promote sustainability at a fraction of traditional costs.

The Remote Process Operations Technician works closely with onsite operators and engineering teams to coordinate operations, resolve process deviations, and support continuous improvement. This position operates on a rotating shift schedule and is expected to grow in scope as Sedron expands toward 24/7/365 remote coverage across North American facilities.

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:

  • Follow all process instructions and health, environmental, and safety protocols. Operate and monitor chemical processes remotely via a Distributed Control System (DCS)
  • Support plant startup, steady-state operations, and shutdown recovery. Monitor key process parameters and make real-time adjustments to maintain optimal performance
  • Respond to process upsets and emergencies following established procedures
  • Identify and troubleshoot process deviations, equipment issues, and safety concerns
  • Communicate effectively with onsite operators to coordinate operations and resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate work records and support regulatory and contractual reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality, and engineering
  • Utilize CMMS and other systems to manage and track operational data
  • Prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in process technology, biological systems, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in process operations, preferably in fertilizer production, chemical manufacturing, wastewater treatment, or a similar industrial environment
  • Ability to read and interpret PFDs and P&IDs; proficiency with DCS platforms and remote monitoring software; familiarity with CMMS systems (Maintenance Connection preferred); experience with data visualization tools (Grafana, InfluxDB) preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams; familiarity with CAD viewing tools
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude; effective verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism; familiarity with quality control standards and regulatory requirements
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal, reading, and written communication skills in the English language
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Compensation for this role is between $27 to $33 per hour
  • Additional pay may apply for off-shift hours, off-site work, or special assignments
  • This role may qualify for a discretionary bonus, recognizing outstanding contributions to team and company success
  • In compliance with state and local pay transparency laws, the expected compensation for this role is shared above. The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role and the final offer will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location. Compensation may be adjusted within this range to reflect regional cost-of-living differences in states where Sedron is hiring.
