Job summary

Carex Consulting Group is partnering with a Healthcare industry partner to identify a Process Engineer to support a large-scale EHR transformation. The role focuses on documenting, analyzing, and redesigning business processes to map current-state workflows to future-state processes while driving efficiency and standardization across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in process engineering and Lean Six Sigma, with healthcare experience and familiarity with athenahealth

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Lean Six Sigma or comparable certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in process engineering, operational excellence, or related disciplines.
Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations, preferably EHR or large-scale migrations.
Strong expertise in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma principles, and business process redesign.
Experience partnering with IT teams to support systems integration and transformation initiatives.
Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred; athenahealth EHR experience highly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Experience with project management and collaboration tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, or similar.

Responsibilities

Lead current-state and future-state process mapping activities for enterprise EHR implementation.
Conduct Value Stream Mapping across cross-functional teams.
Analyze workflows to improve efficiency, standardization, and scalability.
Design end-to-end business processes to support system implementation and ongoing excellence.
Partner with business leaders, operations, and IT to align improvements with system capabilities.
Evaluate performance using data, stakeholder feedback, and process analysis.
Assess downstream impacts on KPIs, staffing, and business performance.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions and prepare leadership recommendations.
Translate strategic objectives into detailed process documentation and implementation plans.
Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to maintain momentum and deliverables.
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and artifacts.
Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies and propose solutions.
Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement during the EHR migration.
