Inova Schar Cancer Institute in the Washington, DC metro area is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for a PRN, remote role. The position is Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30 or 8:30–5:00, with no weekends or night shifts.

This role emphasizes patient education, care coordination, and collaboration with the oncology team. Qualified candidates have a BSN, RN licensure, and BLS certification; 1 year of RN clinical experience; strong English communication and interpersonal skills; and proficient

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs biopsychosocial assessments on patients.
• Provides medications and treatments to patients.
• Serves as a resource for patients and families regarding medical questions.
• Develops plan of care.
• Works with the interdisciplinary team to assist adult patient to meet treatment goals.
• Reports to the Clinical Director.
