Job summary

National EMR seeks a part-time Advanced Practice Provider to join its Medical Reservist Team, serving on an as-needed basis to support disaster responses. Reservists may deploy to hurricane, mass shooting, wildfire and other incidents, traveling within 24–48 hours as required.

Positions are not full-time; compensation is based on hours worked, with deployment pay scales determined by job classification and contract terms.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and NCCPA certification or Nurse Practitioner program and board certification.
• Licensed to practice without restrictions with an unrestricted DEA registration and eligible to work in the United States.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required and up to date.
• Completion of FEMA ICS training: IS-100.c, IS-200.b, IS-700.b, IS-800.c; proof of course completion will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care in disaster response and shelter settings within the Incident Command System.
• Establish and document health care plans per provider guidelines and contract requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and review medical protocols with chain of command.
• Deploy within 6–12 hours of activation and travel as needed to support operations.
• Participate in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery activities as assigned.
