Washington University in St. Louis seeks a Data Privacy Engineer to support the university’s data privacy and protection program.

You will develop data mapping, support DSAR and DPIA processes, review compliance with GDPR, HIPAA and FERPA, and leverage the DSPM tool to identify, classify and report on sensitive data. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will validate discovery results, provide metrics and recommendations to strengthen data protection, and help implement privacy safeguards across

Formación

• Experience with data search, discovery, classification, and data mapping.
• Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA and ability to apply them to data inventories.
• Experience coordinating data mapping, DSAR and DPIA processes.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying data sources.
• Ability to develop audit-ready reports.

Responsabilidades

• Configure, manage, and optimize privacy tools.
• Evaluate privacy safeguards to measure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate to classify data, validate discovery, report metrics, and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate Data Protection Impact Assessments with Chief Privacy Officer and develop guidelines.
• Identify privacy risks and track IT tickets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
