Latitude Legal is seeking an experienced Privacy & Commercial Contracts Attorney to join a national financial services law firm as outside general counsel to credit unions and financial institutions. This fully remote, full-time role requires West Coast hours and offers a competitive compensation range of $160,000–$275,000 with a profit-sharing plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Deep experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Privacy and data security terms integrated into vendor contracts.
• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state; JD required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, redline, and negotiate technology vendor agreements for financial institutions.
• Lead negotiations with sophisticated vendor and fintech legal teams from draft to execution.
• Advise on contract risk allocation: indemnities, liability caps, SLAs, terminations, audits, data use.
• Assess hosted vs on-prem, proprietary vs licensed products, and data flows to reflect business needs.
• Draft data processing addenda, information security exhibits, incident response provisions, and breach language.
• Spot privacy/data security issues (GLBA, CCPA, GDPR, state laws) in commercial contracts.
• Counsel on third-party risk management and regulator-facing considerations.
• Advise on IP ownership/licensing in tech/fintech collaborations.
• Help build the privacy practice while handling a full contract workload.
