Job summary

Cobalto Talent is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Law Attorney to join a fully remote U.S. law firm client. The role may be Senior Associate, Counsel, or Partner, depending on experience, with strong emphasis on U.S. privacy, transactional matters, and client counseling.

The attorney will advise on DPAs, privacy provisions, commercial agreements, and governance, while collaborating with senior business and legal teams to deliver practical, business-focused advice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing Data Privacy Law.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy and data-security laws.
• Hands-on with DPAs, privacy provisions, and commercial agreements.
• Excellent client counseling and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex matters independently and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Advise enterprise clients on privacy and transactional matters, including U.S. federal and state laws.
• Draft and negotiate DPAs, SCCs, and privacy provisions.
• Draft privacy policies, notices, and terms of use.
• Collaborate with business, technology, security, marketing, and legal teams to provide practical, business-oriented advice.
• Assist with privacy programs, data mapping, audits, and governance.
• Advise on data-security incidents and incident-response planning.
