Boston Medical Center in the United States seeks a Part Time, Per Diem Prior Authorization Specialist I to support insurance verification and financial clearance. This remote role coordinates pre-registration tasks, verifies demographics and insurance, and obtains referrals and pre-certifications, guiding providers through payer requirements.

You will work with care teams, patients, and payers to ensure timely access to care, maintain compliance, and uphold service quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in health care admin or hospital/physician office.
• Experience with insurance verification, prior authorization, and financial clearance.

Responsabilités

• Prioritize incoming Prior Authorization requests.
• Process requests and authorize services per department policies.
• Refer authorization requests requiring clinical judgment to clinicians or managers.
• Meet productivity and Turn‑Around Time targets while handling a full caseload.
• Support Prior Authorization Clinicians and coordinators.
• Answer calls, verify eligibility, and enter information into CCMS/Facets.
