Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Prior Authorization Assistant at the Saint Cloud location. The role supports processing prior authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications to meet payer requirements, with a majority remote schedule and periodic onsite orientation.

Key duties include coordinating with physicians and care teams to ensure timely authorizations, maintaining accuracy, and upholding patient safety standards in line with CentraCare’s Family Centered Care philosophy.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, preferably HIT or another health-care related program.
• 1 year of relevant healthcare experience in lieu of education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in prior authorization preferred.
• Knowledge of health care and medical practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process health plan/payer utilization review requirements, including pre-certifications and prior authorizations, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with internal physicians and staff and external providers to facilitate quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
• Support patient safety initiatives and Family Centered Care principles in interactions with patients, families and coworkers.
