Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Part-Time Prior Authorization Specialist to support referrals and authorizations for specialty services, remotely serving Massachusetts and Connecticut. You will coordinate with providers, clinics, insurers, and patients to ensure timely access to care.

The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and timely processing in a supportive center environment. The position offers remote work with standard 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and opportunities

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of medical insurance knowledge.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with CIS inbox and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals and prior authorizations for specialty services and testing.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, offices, insurers to obtain required information.
• Monitor denial and no-referral reports; process appeals for denied claims.
